About Jollans family
Please sign in to see more.
This started off as a way of recording the information already known about the immediate family and relations of my parents, Bill and Joan Jollans.

It then expanded when we discovered that Bill's grandfather, John Washington Baron was present in the excellent 'Barons in Great Harwood' family tree on tribalpages set up by Flo Montgomery. That traces this line of the family back to the 16th century, and I have copied across some of the most relevant information.

Since then a lot of information on the Kosel family in Germany has been added. The connnection here is through Sabine Jollans (nee Kosel) who is married to my brother Phil. So without doing any primary research, we now have a large number of entries. More information and connections would be welcome.

More recent work in 2011/12 has discovered more information about the roots of the Jollans family in Lincolnshire, going back to my great-great-great grandfather John Jollands, born around 1800, and his son James Jollands, who married Betsey Mitchell. Any more information or connections to this branch of the family would be great, or any information about the family of James Watson, who married Ada Maria Jollans in 1905.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
